About The Saint Luke Guild

The Saint Luke Guild exists to promote the greatest works of art in Christian schools and especially in those with a classical pedagogical method.

We believe that all great art is transcendent and directs the soul to God as a small reflection of the true, the good, and the beautiful.  As St. Paul said in Philippians 4:8, “Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”

In accordance with this exhortation, we believe that every child should have at least 200 paintings committed to memory that are familiar as old friends to accompany them on their journey through life and to remind them that God’s majesty and love are made manifest through his works of nature and the great achievements of art made possible by our being made in his image and likeness (cf. Genesis 1:27).

We exist to provide training, education, and other support for schools so that they can accomplish these goals. We will help purchase art for schools, as well as help schools with the logistics of selecting, obtaining, and displaying high quality reproductions of great masterpiece paintings for the education and enjoyment of students. We will help facilitate the loaning of art between schools and the promotion of local art museum exhibits in each school’s community.

Our special focus is on the greatest masterpiece paintings of the Western Canon and bringing these works to the Classical Catholic school community.

The Saint Luke Guild does not deliver products to individuals; therefore cancellations and returns are not applicable.  Also, donor refunds are not generally offered.  Refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis before money is distributed to the designated project (e.g., if someone accidentally entered the wrong donation amount and contact is made within one business day).  To request a refund, contact us at refunds@saintlukeguild.com.

Privacy Policy

The Saint Luke Guild takes donor information and privacy very seriously.  We will never sell donor information to a third party for any reason.

Donor information will only be shared with outside businesses as necessary to deliver services (e.g., processing credit card donations, etc.).

The exception is when donors choose a specific school project to donate to.  When this occurs, donor information will typically be shared with the specified school, so that they can know to whom they should be grateful.  Donors may opt out of information sharing on the donor form.
